Transvaginal/Transrectal USG Sonography

Transvaginal and Transrectal ultrasound sonography are used to look at the prostate and female reproductive systems, respectively. In order to acquire precise images of the pelvic organs, a probe must be inserted into the vagina or rectum during these operations. They are frequently employed to assess ailments like prostate problems, irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, and infertility. An endorectal sonographic probe, which consists of a rigid probe and a fixed sonographic crystal array, or an echoendoscope, which is a sonographic crystal array coupled to an endoscopic instrument suitable for research of the lower gastrointestinal tract, can be used for sonography of the rectum. Similar information about pathologic abnormalities in the rectum is obtained via examinations using the devices.
