Biophysical Profile BPP

The OB fetal echo, short for obstetric fetal echocardiography, is a specialized ultrasound examination performed between 22 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. It is focused on evaluating the structure and function of the baby's heart. During the OB fetal echo, a sonographer or a specially trained ultrasound technician will use ultrasound technology to obtain detailed images of the baby's heart. This examination allows for a thorough assessment of the heart's structure, including the chambers, valves, and blood vessels. It also evaluates the heart's function, such as the ability to pump blood effectively.
